Elizabeth Terry is a native of Asheville and has been playing and teaching in the area since 1994. Elizabeth studied music performance at the UNC Greensboro and finished her musical education with a Bachelor of Arts degree at the UNC Asheville. She has performed on violin and viola with various local chamber, orchestral, and musical theatre ensembles including the Asheville Lyric Opera and Hendersonville Symphony. Elizabeth is currently the orchestra director at East Henderson High School and Flat Rock Middle School. In addition to classical music, Elizabeth plays swing and jazz fiddle and has performed original compositions and jazz standards with numerous local ensembles as well as fiddled for contra dances in the WNC region. Elizabeth lives in Swannanoa with her husband and daughter.
